Frequently Asked Questions

What if I feel sick?
Please stay home and seek medical attention if you feel sick. If you can’t reach your primary care doctor, please ask your supervisor to reach out to our medical team in person, by phone or email. For a list of COVID-19 symptoms click here.

What if I, or someone I live with, contract COVID-19?
If someone in your household tests positive for COVID-19, stay home and notify your supervisor immediately. If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and call your doctor. If you test positive for COVID-19, stay home and immediately notify your supervisor. A member of IFB’s medical staff will reach out to conduct contact-tracing and talk through an isolation or quarantine timeline. You will not be able to return to work until you are symptom free and are approved by the Coronavirus Response Team.

What if there is a case of COVID-19 at an IFB Solutions location?
Our number one priority is the health and safety of our employees. In the event an IFB Solutions employee tests positive for COVID-19, the Coronavirus Response team will meet immediately to review the situation and execute an action plan. Contact tracing will begin immediately. Any critical information will be communicated in a timely manner through phone messaging, emails and/or directly from supervisors. All CDC guidelines will be followed as they pertain to essential manufacturing businesses.

What if I am asked questions about our COVID-19 policies or case status?
Please assure them that we are doing everything we can to provide great service, quality products and a healthy work environment. Our policies are posted on our website, including active case count. Please refer media inquiries to Nicole Ducouer, senior director of corporate communications, 304-685-2393, nducouer@ifbsolutions.org.

What if I have been diagnosed with the flu?
If you have been diagnosed with anything other than the coronavirus by a medical professional, we ask you to stay home until you are symptom free.

What if I have high risk health issues?
Please consult your doctor first. IFB’s medical staff is also available to answer your questions. See your supervisor if you would like to get in touch with our medical staff. Leadership will work with you as we address any concerns. You can also visit the CDC’s website for more information here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/specific-groups/high-risk-complications.html.

Would IFB shut down if our state issued a temporary closure of non-essential business?
No. The U.S. Department of Defense has deemed IFB Solutions essential and critical to the security of our nation, because we manufacture products for our Armed Forces. While some of our product lines may temporarily slow or stop running, operations critical to our federal government continue.

Now that I have the vaccine, am I safe? What about the new variant?
The CDC says vaccines are safe and effective when it comes to preventing COVID-19 and severe symptoms. If you are vaccinated and become infected with the Delta variant, you can still spread the virus. Stay updated about new variants HERE.
