Welcome New Hires!

Welcome new employees: Leon Crisp Jr, Shipping Coordinator, Clemmons Facility

Leon Crisp Jr. began working on August 30, 2022, as a Shipping Coordinator. He will be working under the direction of Dale Baker in the Warehouse at our Clemmons Warehouse Location. He enjoys rock climbing and riding his motorcycle! He also plays volleyball on a regular basis.

 

Retirement Announcement

Retirement Announcement: Jamie James, Little Rock Facility

Jamie James retired from IFB Solutions Little Rock on August 24 2022. Jamie was with the company almost five years and worked in the T-Shirt department. She exhibited the core value of Business with a heart and her guide dog, Maggie was the company friendly mascot. We will miss them both!

 

Hours Update at the Winston-Salem Community Low Vision Center

Effective Tuesday, September 6 the Community Low Vision center will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am-5:00pm. For more information contact a Winston-Salem Low Vision associate. Thank you.

It is back to school time!

Please do not park in the schoolhouse parking lot beginning Tuesday, September 6. We will be starting S.E.E. After School Winston and need room for our staff and students to use the parking lot. We appreciate your respect for our program. Thank you!

Parents’ Night Out: Maker Mania September 17

Need a break from the kids this fall? Drop them off at Kaleideum North and enjoy a few hours for YOU when you register for Parents Night Out: Maker Mania!

Parent’s Night Out is for children in grades K-6. On September 17, from 5:30-8:30 pm, the kids will be able to get in touch with their inner maker when they engage with Wake Forest Engineering Learning and Support Center for an engineering design challenge, code with Beebots, and play mini golf with Spheros. In addition, and weather permitting, the Forsyth Astronomical Society will be on site to show them the stars!

Pizza dinner and snacks are included in the price. Members: $25 for first child; $20 for each additional child Nonmembers: $30 for first child; $25 for each additional child.

Kaleideum has weekend Featured Artists for Laser Specials at 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday:

• September 10 and 11 – ‘NSYNC
• September 17 and 18 – Prince
• September 24 and 25 – Pink Floyd

Laser Specials are $2 for members; $3 for non-members.

General Admission is not required if you only want to see a Laser Special and explore the Museum. General Admission is required for all other planetarium programs.

*Parental discretion is advised for Featured Artist Laser Specials.

Fall is just around the corner, and while some people enjoy fall, there are others that get the end-of-summer blues! Here are some simple tips to help you should you fall yourself getting the end-of-summer blues: exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, spend time outdoors, spend time with friends and family, change your environment, practice mindfulness, and if it seems to get to be too much for you to handle, please reach out to someone for help! IFB Solutions has a partnership with the Mental Health Association of Forsyth County, which offers many resources and tips to help with different topics!
