This week is packed with updates and reminders. We’re excited to announce our Christmas (in July) Bonus for our hourly workforce! The Lost and Found service is back at the Winston-Salem Facility, and we have new hires for you to meet. Additionally, don’t forget about the updated canteen hours, the AAA bowling event, and the popcorn party at the Asheville facility!

Announcing Christmas (in July) Bonus!

We are pleased to announce that our hourly workforce (including temporary employees) will receive a Christmas (in July) Bonus this year. Hourly employees who were hired prior to July 7, 2024, who are still active on July 22, 2024 and are paid hourly wages will see a $150 bonus directly deposited into bank accounts with the July 26 paycheck. Temporary agency timing and distribution methods may differ slightly. Thank you for your hard work and your commitment to IFB Solutions!

 

Welcome to IFB’s New Hires

Samuel Williams

We are thrilled to introduce Samuel Williams as the newest addition to our team at IFB. Under the supervision of Dale Baker, Samuel brings valuable experience as a former shipping and receiving associate, making him an excellent fit for our Clemmons warehouse. His background and skills will be a great asset to our operations. Please join us in welcoming Samuel to the IFB family!

 

Nekisha Walters

We are excited to welcome Nekisha Walters to IFB as our new Accounts Receivable Specialist under the supervision of Karen Burnett. Nekisha brings valuable experience from her previous roles in accounts receivable, making her well-equipped for this position. Her expertise will be a significant asset to our team. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Nekisha!

 

Lost and Found Service at Winston-Salem Facility

We are excited to announce that IFB is reinstating the Lost and Found service. If you find any lost items, please inform your supervisor so they can be turned into Morgan Dugan, Employee Relations Specialist. If you have lost an item and wish to check the Lost and Found, please use the ticketing system to schedule a time to review the lost item bin with Morgan.

Reminder: Asheville Facility Popcorn Party, July 9

Spread the word! The Asheville Facility’s HR department will be hosting a Popcorn Party on July 9 in the cafeteria. Come socialize with friends and enjoy popcorn during your last break!

 

Reminder: Winston-Salem Facility Canteen Hours Update

Effective Monday, July 1, the Winston-Salem facility canteen will not have coverage for assistance during the following times:

• 8:30am-8:45am
• 11:00am-11:15am
• 1:00pm-1:30pm

The canteen will remain open during these times but will not have an assistant. This time change will accommodate our canteen attendant’s break schedule. Please note these hours and plan your canteen needs accordingly.

 

See what S.E.E. is Doing!

The S.E.E. Day Camp kids helped cook a Thanksgiving meal of turkey baked in the oven, mashed potatoes heated in the microwave, green beans and stuffing cooked on the stove top, gravy, and Hawaiian rolls. They also made individual apple pies and haystacks for fall treats. The center piece was a free-standing foam tree with many branches to hold colorful fall leaves with what campers were thankful for written on the leaves and stuck into the branches.

Community Low Vision Center Updates

CLVC Item of the Week:

Summer Sunshine – A Raised Line Coloring Book for $16.95, features 10 pages of animals, flowers, and trees. Summer activities such as camping, gardening, and sailing. Great for helping children to stay within the lines.

Reminder: Bowling Event

The AAA Committee and IFB Winston-Salem Facility employee Bobby Ashworth, are organizing a family bowling event for employees on Saturday, July 13th, from 2 PM to 5 PM at Bowlero Bowling Lane, located at 811 Jonestown Road, Winston-Salem NC.

Bowling and shoe rental are free. The only requirement from Bowlero Bowling Lanes is that we purchase food and beverages from the snack bar. This event is open to all employees and their families. Handrails will be available for blind bowlers, and there will be people on hand to teach and assist those who have never bowled before. Even if you don’t want to bowl, come out and enjoy the company of your coworkers. There is also a large arcade on site.
